Glenbrook Remodeling opened its brand new kitchen and bath showroom to the public on Thursday, January 14th. Glenview village president Jim Patterson, with assistance from members of the Glenview Chamber of Commerce, cut the ribbon to officially open the showroom. The showroom is located at 450 Glenview Road at the corners of Glenview Road and Harms Road in Glenview.

The new showroom was formerly a White Hen Pantry convenience store that closed years ago and remained vacant for a long time. Glenview residents Alex Gherghiceanu and his wife Renata, owners of Glenbrook Remodeling, had the vision to transform the empty 2350 square foot space into a high-end kitchen and bath showroom comprised of many beautiful vignettes in a variety of styles. According to Alex, “We wanted to establish a permanent brick and mortar location that would put down roots for our family-owned business, serve the community we live in, provide a convenient, local location for our customers to see products in person, and strive to become ‘the guy’ for interior remodeling in Glenview and the surrounding suburbs.” Glenbrook Remodeling offers Arbor Mills cabinetry, manufactured in Joliet, Illinois, and is the only kitchen and bath remodeler on the North Shore to carry this brand. “Kitchens are not what they were years ago. In today’s homes, kitchens are also used for entertaining, for families and friends to gather, for doing crafts and homework, and has become the heart and soul of the home,” said Gherghiceanu.
