This multi-room renovation goes beyond a typical laundry room remodel, transforming a high-traffic entryway into a thoughtfully designed family hub. The family came to us wanting to transform this catch-all space, which included a laundry room, mudroom, and 3 separate closets. The space right off the garage is used daily as the informal entrance, and before the renovation, it didn’t match the rest of their beautiful home. The challenge came in the form of incorporating a laundry room, mudroom, a larger beverage cooler, the freezer previously in the garage, a pet station, and tons of cabinet storage for laundry supplies, seasonal clothes, off-kitchen storage, and a vacuum. The family likes blue and glass tiles and white cabinetry. We removed all the closets and installed all-white cabinetry to create a bright and uniform space. We kept the structural pillar in the middle of the room, but we added a coffered ceiling to make it part of the decor. It’s a mudroom and laundry room remodel that brings organization, brightness, and custom cabinetry together with multi-uses, serving as a family hub. This space is a testimony that one can find beauty in utility.
